One summer, in the midst of my quarter-life crisis, photography and painting became my therapy. I guess you could say I tortured myself with silence for 20 years and finally erupted.

Still looking for my niche in photography, if I’ll ever find one, I really do enjoy all aspects of the art, from shameless selfies to artistic conceptual pictures. What I try to capture in my images is an emotion that I never allowed myself to feel once upon a time.  I relish in the emotion through my lens. 

I sometimes have an emotion that wills me to pick up my paintbrush. Other times, I’m listening to a song, and I close my eyes only to find myself in a different world, with images flashing through my head as I begin to draw inspiration from them.  Through my process, I never know what the meaning is when I start.  I only start to interpret my paintings once "it feels complete."
